What does a life coach do?
A life coach works with you to help you define your goals and make a plan to achieve them. As an objective professional, she can help make you aware of hidden qualities within you that you may have overlooked or give a different perspective on challenges you are facing. A coach is also there to acknowledge your successes and support you in the pursuit of your goals.

Is a life coach a therapist?
No. A life coach is not a therapist or a counselor. Life coaching is not psychology or social work. Life coaching focuses on your goals and how you can effectively attain them. A life coach is not anadvice-giver. Instead of giving you the answers, a life coach helps you find your own answers.

Who works with a life coach?
Anyone who wants to get more out of their lives. Clients run the gamut from the
homemaker who wants to use her time more effectively to the CEO who wants to live a more balanced life and everyone in between - business owners, lawyers, doctors, customer service representatives, artists, managers, athletes, etc.

How long is a typical session?
A standard session is 30 minutes long and is normally held once
a week over the phone. During the session, we discuss your goals, your progress, any successes and any roadblocks. We also make plans for what needs to be accomplished by next session. Sessions are usually purchased in monthly increments (one, two, three or six months). Rates are competitive and payment options are available.

What can I expect as a result of success coaching?
A survey of past International Coaching Federation clients showed that a majority of clients felt an increase in their level of self-awareness as a result of working with a coach. Other results of coaching included: setting better goals, and leading a more balanced life. Lowering stress levels, building self-confidence and generally improving quality of life were also cited as benefits of coaching.

How can I find out if coaching is right for me?
You can take the Life Coach Readiness Quiz or schedule a free exploratory session. Both options are offered free of charge and no additional obligation is required. If you don't find a good fit, you are under no obligation to continue.
